International Driving Permit France: What Visitors Should Know
France drives on the right, with an extensive motorway network (autoroutes) linking every region — most of it tolled, unlike the free national roads (routes nationales) that run alongside them. Speed limits are posted in kilometres per hour and enforced heavily by fixed and mobile radar cameras.
